Babes Wodumo on her first Valentine’s Day without her husband Mampintsha. The South African Gqom artist Babes Wodumo has shared an insight of her first Valentine’s Day alone after losing her husband.
Babes Wodumo took to Mampintsha’s Facebook page to share how difficult it is to celebrate her first Valentine’s Day without her husband. Her husband, member of Big Nuz and Kwaito artist Mampintsha, suffered a stroke and passed away on the 24th of December 2022.
The singer shared a picture of her on her husbands grave. She said that she could not believe that after so many years she had to spend Valentine’s Day without Mampintsha. She shared that it had been difficult seeing other women celebrating Valentine’s Day with their romantic partners. Moreover, Babes added that she will forever be grateful for the times she spent with her husband.
“Wow after so many years this is the first Valentine’s without you my love. Today women out there are celebrating with loved ones, but however me being here today makes it different from others. I’ll forever cherish days we shared together…”, Babes Wodumo shared.
Her fans shared heartfelt messages for the Gqom singer, comforting her during this difficult period. “It’s painful I know Babes… You will heal as time goes on. Please be gentle to yourself and your feelings. I love you my sister. Take care of yourself and Sponge”, said one of her followers.
