Thandiswa Mazwai brings her new show to the mother city. Singer, performer and songwriter Thandiswa Mazwai will be hosting her new show for the people in Cape Town.

The acclaimed ‘Daughter of the soil’ will be having a new show on the 25th of February 2023. The name of the show is called A Love Letter To Azania. It is an exclusive one night performance of A Letter To Azania and she will be performing songs from her albums. The show will be held at the Artscape in Cape Town. The singer decided to take the show to the mother city after she had not performed there in ages.

A Letter To Azania is a writing by Mazwai to Azania as a place of freedom and by telling stories that inspired her life. The singer hopes that the show will shift something within individuals. She believes that her performances are a way of sharing love and transforming people’s lives.

“This is my greatest aspiration that people come to my shows and feel a shift within them. I believe in love and it’s power to transform things and moments. I also believe in justice. Music and performance are how I share those aspirations with the world”, Thandiswa shared.

Mazwai had been doing outstanding performances all over the world that stole people’s hearts. She started doing performances after she ventured onto a solo career and leaving the group Bongo Maffin. Her debut project as a solo artist was her album titled Zabalaza released in 2004. The singer has since been dropping albums, singles and doing performances.
