Metro FM Music Awards Announces 2023 Nominees
Metro FM music awards announces 2023 nominees. After stating that the Metro FM music awards are back, Metro FM recently shared a list of the artists that are nominated for the awards.
On the 30th of March 2023, Metro FM released a list of categories for the awards and the list of artists that have been nominated. On the 18th of January 2023, entries for the awards were officially opened. A number of artists submitted their application before the closing date which was on the 28th of February 2023.
Metro FM previously changed and announced a new date for the awards. The awards now are set to take plabe on the 6th of May 2023. The 2023 edition will be hosted by the City of Mbombela in the Mpumalanga province. They also shared that the awards will be broadcasted only live on SABC 1 and on all SABC radio stations. The awards can also be streamed on Metro FM’s YouTube channel and on SABC plus.
The awards consist of 18 categories and each category consist of 5 artists except for the song of the year category and the best jazz album category. Here’s the full list of nominees:
