Prince Kaybee on how he feels musicians are not as respected compared to other creatives. House music DJ Prince Kaybee addressed the issue of people always disrespecting musicians and their work.
Prince Kaybee took to his Twitter page to express how he feels about musicians always being criticized in whatever that they do. He shared that people always come for musicians and disregard their work, however they do not critique other people’s work in different crafts.
He made an example that when painters share their work, people do not tell them what to do or what they should have done. However, when it comes to musician, they are always told what to do and people always have something negative to say about their music.
“Musicians are the only people that get disrespected. You do not see a painter posting their work and a random person coming to say, “no you should have used a lighter brush. But with music you post and some idiot will say,” no this beat did not need vocals”, Prince Kaybee tweeted.
Tweeps expressed how they feel about the DJ’s tweet. Tweeps shared that every artist in all fields also receive criticism, it is not only musicians. Some added that they do not disrespect musicians but rather share constructive criticism with them so that the artists can do better and keep on thriving. ” That’s because we love you KB. If you raise the bar, we expect you to keep it at the same level. We don’t disrespect you guys, we just want you to keep on excelling”, said one of his followers.
