Tweeps reacts to UltraSA music festival’s statement following Costa Titch’s passing. Music festival, Ultra South Africa had tweeps fuming after a tweet they put out as their official statement following Costa Titch tragic passing on their stage.

UltraSA shared a statement on Twitter after videos were making rounds on social media of the amapiano star passing out at their music festival on the 11th of March 2023. Costa Titch’s family confirmed his passing, the cause of his death has not yet been revealed.

The festival organization shared how good of a musician Costa Titch was and sympathized with his family, friends and supporters. “We are devastated by the loss of the beloved South African artist Costa Titch, who tragically passed away this weekend. Costa was a galvanizing voice amongst South Africa’s amapiano scene- a talented rapper, dancer, songwriter, collaborator, and friend to the festival. Our deepest thoughts and most sincere sympathies are with his family, friends, and our entire community, who are together mourning this heartbreak loss”, UltraSA tweeted.

Tweeps did not receive UltraSA’s official statement on Costa Titch’s passing well. They found it disappointing that the music festival did not handle the situation well. They shared that UltraSA does not care and should not have continued with the show after the singer collapsed. Others said that they should have released a formal official statement, instead of notes made from the note app. “Where is your PR agency? Why is this off a note app? Why is it not an official statement? Why no crisis comms person done an interview with the media about the tragedy that happened. Come on”, said one of the followers.
