Taking to his Twitter page, Donald shared that his song titled Hold Me Close deserves to part of the top 5 best songs that have came out since the year 2023 started. He shared that South Africa is sleeping on his song and he believes it deserves recognition. He further added that he will keep it moving as there is nothing he can do. “I personally believe my song #HoldMeCloseis Top 5 best song of 2023 but South Africa is sleeping. But it’s fine, we move forward”, Donald tweeted.

Donald’s song is from his new album that he recently released. He released his album titled TIKI on the 7th of February 2023 after being in absentia from the music industry. The singer has been pushing his music on his social media platforms and his fans are jamming to his new music.

One of the artists that took it to social media to share how people are sleeping on his music is house music DJ and producer Heavy K. In 2022, he took it to Twitter to share share that he felt like he was under appreciated and felt like he was not celebrated when he released his new single.
