Singer Mpumi Confirms New Music On The Way

Singer Mpumi confirms new music on the way. Songstress Nompumelelo, famously known as Mpumi Somandla readies new album following short hiatus.

Mpumi’s fans are already missing her and her music as she had not released music for almost a year. One of her fans pleaded with the singer to come up with something new. They shared that they miss her music on the music digital platforms. “@Mpumi_Somandla we miss you on the music platform”, said one of her fans.

The singer responded to her fans on Twitter sharing why she went awol. Quoting the fan’s tweet, Mpumi apologized for not releasing music and shared that she had been quite for sometime as she has been working on her new album. She also shared that she will drop her new album soon and promised her fans that they will definitely enjoy it. “Oh baby, so sorry I’ve been quite. I’m putting together an awesome album. You will love it, I promise. You will hear about it soon. I love you too, thank you”, Mpumi had tweeted.

Even though Mpumi has not released any music of her own for some time, but she was featured on an amapiano album. The singer was featured alongside T-Man SA on a song titled Kwaphela by Lady Du from her new album titled Song Is Queen set to be released on the 28th of April 2023.

The singer has released hit songs that made waves on digital platforms including her famous song titled Sekumnandi featuring DJ SK released in 2020. Before haitus, Mpumi released a song which is her latest work called Iphupho Lami which she dropped mid 2022. Her new album will be her second album following her album released in 2015 titled Somandla.
