Pretty Yende hospitalised after suffering a serious injury. Choral and opera songstress Pretty Yende got admitted to the hospital following her suffering from a critical injury.
Pretty Yende had an amazing performance that stole people’s heart at the England’s King and Queen consort. The singer was set to have a third performance at the Coronation and an unfortunate incident occurred and she was unable to perform.
Taking to her social media pages, Pretty Yende expressed regret after she missed her last performance of Manon. The singer shared that the reason why she was not able to perform is due to being injured. She sustained the injury on stage during her second performance at the Coronation. She shared that she thought that it was a minor injury but that was not the case and she was hospitalised.
“Dear friends, I am so sorry to report that I will not be able to perform my last performance of Manon @wienerstaatsoper due to sustaining a very serious injury during my second performance on the stage before going to sing at the Coronation. I was hoping that my injury would subside but unfortunately it’s not the case. I have to follow medical advises from the doctors and take care in order to heal as quickly as possible”, Pretty Yende wrote.
The choral singer went on to share her apologies to the people that she work with and her fans who were anticipating her performance. Yende is hopeful that she will get better soon and go back to what she does best.
“I would like to send my sincerest apologies to my colleagues and the theathre. Deepest thanks as they were dearly kind to me during the last performance after my injury I hope to be well soon and resume my artistic commitments. Many thanks to the public of Vienna who were there and have been kindly asking if I’m going to be okay #prettyjourney”, Pretty Yende shared.
