How was this experience of working with TPZEE?

Working with him was an experience He’s a very chilled person, he has good ears for good sound and I enjoy all our working sessions and it has always been very productive.

Talk to us through the process of creating Sponono and what was your role?

First, when TPZEE reached out to me and told me he wanted us to make a song together I was very ok with It because I was also looking forward to working with him, I  wrote my verse and it was just another day where we played around with the boys in the studio and the inspiration for “Sponono” came and it came out to be one of the best songs we have at the moment.


What do you think such a collaboration will do for your career?

When it comes to being creative, two heads are always better than one. For me as an artist, collaboration helps in the exchange of value between artists taping from one fan base into another artist’s fan base.

How has your stay here in SA been thus far?

I love it here in South Africa, beautiful people beautiful country, The diversity in culture and tradition is what makes it even more welcoming.

Are you working on anything at the moment?

I’m currently working on an album that will be dropping soon with a few names from all over the African continent and the world at large.

Soul Barbie and Team came up with an initiative called ( FACE OF BARBIE MZANSI SA AFRICA) the project is an edutainment program, where we will be empowering young female girls from the ages of 1 year to 25 years in different categories, on how to own their future as a strong woman.

We will also be doing a nationwide school tour influencing young girls and empowering them positively on how to shift their focus from the BEDROOM to the BOARDROOM, my popular quote

At the end of the program Soul Barbie and the team will be sponsoring school scholarships for the winners of each category and also sponsoring a trip to Disney World America for the winners and guardians.
