Sir LSG and Soul Diva Set Heineken Stage Ablaze with Soulful Performance

South African house music maestro Sir LSG is riding high after an electrifying live performance at an exclusive Heineken event. Teaming up with the dynamic Soul Diva, the duo delivered a show-stopping set that blended smooth vocals, live instrumentation, and deep house rhythms — a formula that’s become synonymous with their sound.

Backed by a skilled keyboardist and a trio of backup singers, Sir LSG and Soul Diva turned the stage into a soulful sanctuary, much to the delight of guests at the premium brand affair.

“It was amazing,” Sir LSG reflected after the show. “We’ve been working on it for weeks, bringing live elements to the stage. It fits what we do perfectly.”

Heineken’s request for a performance with a fresh, organic feel was met with precision. Known for his smooth fusions and polished delivery, Sir LSG created a seamless blend of live soul and deep house grooves — a sound he has spent years perfecting.

Beyond one-off performances, Sir LSG is also the visionary behind Bread For Soul Sessions — a fast-growing house music movement in South Africa. The event series, which began modestly, has exploded into one of the country’s most anticipated gatherings. The next edition, happening on June 7th, has already sold out.

“We’ve been building this brand for three years,” he said. “It’s all about house music, beautiful vibes, and even more beautiful people.”

In an industry currently dominated by the Amapiano wave, Sir LSG has managed to carve a distinct lane with deep, soulful house. His approach? Stay true to the music.

“We don’t follow trends,” he said. “We stay true to what we love and attract people who vibe with that authenticity. That’s why the shows keep selling out.”

Each Bread For Soul experience is thoughtfully curated, combining household names with rising stars. A deliberate effort is made to include female artists and live elements, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.

“We’re not lineup-driven. By the time we release the names, the show’s already 80% sold,” Sir LSG explained. “It’s all about the mood, the music, and the experience.”

A passionate advocate for homegrown music, Sir LSG is using his platform to elevate overlooked talent.

“I’m playing a lot of Dustinho, Chronical Deep, Poison, Here For Soul, Soulfrika…” he shared. “There’s so much talent in SA, but not enough platforms. That’s why we rotate our lineups and document everything. We want to tell the South African house music story properly.”

Fans won’t have to wait long for fresh material. Sir LSG is currently working on multiple releases, including a solo EP, a joint EP with Soul Diva, and a Bread For Soul compilation that captures the spirit of the movement.

“We’re always working on music,” he said. “It’s just a matter of timing and capacity.”

More than a musical project, Bread For Soul is fast becoming a cultural force. Sir LSG sees house events as key to driving local economies and creating job opportunities.

“Events like this employ so many people,” he noted. “Music is a powerful tool. I just hope the government starts seeing that too — it could really grow the scene.”

During the pandemic, Sir LSG gained a loyal following with his in-depth artist interviews and content series. Asked whether that side of his creativity would return, he left the door open.

“It’s something I want to come back to,” he said. “But first, we’re focusing on solidifying Bread For Soul. Once we’ve built a solid team, the rest will follow.”

Sir LSG — real name Lesego Sefako — remains a torchbearer for authentic South African house music. Whether lighting up exclusive stages or building grassroots movements, his dedication to sound, culture, and community is unwavering.

With sold-out shows, anticipated releases, and a vision that extends far beyond the DJ booth, Sir LSG isn’t just playing music — he’s creating a legacy.
