South African DJ SUPTA Unites with DJ Zinhle, Mörda, and Msongi on Spiritual Afrotech Anthem “Ngizothandaza”

South African DJ and radio personality SUPTA has teamed up with powerhouse artists DJ Zinhle, Mörda, and vocalist Msongi to release Ngizothandaza — a deeply resonant Afrotech anthem whose title translates to “I will pray.” The track takes listeners on a spiritual journey centered around themes of healing, connection, and unwavering faith.
Ngizothandaza masterfully blends the distinctive musical styles of each collaborator. SUPTA brings his signature deep Afrotech foundation, DJ Zinhle adds her polished, genre-crossing finesse, Mörda infuses a high-energy Afro-house edge, and Msongi delivers raw, emotive vocals. The result is a three-step anthem that moves both body and spirit, bridging soulful expression with hypnotic rhythms.
Reflecting on the collaboration, SUPTA shared, “I’m so excited about this collab, it’s been a long time coming.” The song has already generated buzz for its uplifting energy and has struck a chord with fans who appreciate the fusion of spiritual music with Afro-electronic sounds.
SUPTA’s musical journey began in his hometown at Takalani FM in Aliwal North while he was still in high school. He refined his skills at Motheo FM and Kovsie FM in Bloemfontein before making waves at Johannesburg’s YFM, where he currently hosts his own show and contributes to the popular YTKO DJ mix series.
His national breakthrough came in 2019 with Prince Kaybee’s Gugulethu, a track that amassed over 13 million YouTube views, won Best Collaboration at the Sound City Music Awards, and earned a Song of the Year nomination at the 2020 Mzansi Music Awards.
SUPTA has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of Afro House and Afrotech. His acclaimed releases include Indoda Emadodeni with Nkosazana Daughter, Ntinga Ntanga with Thalitha and Obie, and the Ntinga Ntanga EP. In 2023, he continued his momentum with Emathandweni, collaborating again with Thalitha and DJ Jim MASTERSHINE.
With anticipation growing around SUPTA’s upcoming EP, Ngizothandaza stands as both a sonic milestone and a heartfelt spiritual statement—inviting listeners to move, feel, and reflect in equal measure.
