Monark Returns with New Single “Panorama” Featuring Fresh Lead Vocalist

South African pop band Monark are back with their latest single, “Panorama,” marking their first release with a new lead vocalist. The track was written by Johan and Ewald in their first-ever collaboration, developing organically without pressure, simply two creatives connecting through music.
“Panorama” signals a new era for Monark, who entered the South African music scene in 2013. They earned SAMA nominations for their debut album, reached #1 on iTunes, and performed on major stages including Rocking The Daisies and Joburg Day. The band also collaborated with Riky Rick on Coke Studio, further establishing their presence in the industry.
Produced by Ewald, “Panorama” blends nostalgic and contemporary elements. The track draws inspiration from Swedish pop, early 2000s chart sounds, and incorporates what the band describes as “a little bit of 90s boy band energy.”
“The lyrics were inspired by the everyday distractions we all face,” Monark explains. “It’s about looking past the noise and finding meaning in the things that really matter.”
Fans can stream or download “Panorama” on all major platforms. Monark plan to continue sharing new music and visuals following this release. They are scheduled to perform live at Uncorked Wine Fest in Klerksdorp on 25 October, sharing the stage with Die Heuwels Fantasties and Glen Rozi.
