Rather than simply extending the series, My Thoughts in Song III feels like a continuation of an evolving conversation, with Sipho once again using melody, rhythm and instrumentation to give shape to what words alone cannot always hold.

At the centre of the project is Maria, a focus track that sits within Sipho’s distinctive musical world of intricate guitar work, soulful melodies and Amapiano-influenced production. His approach balances composition and improvisation, allowing the music to feel technically rich while still carrying warmth and emotion.

That balance has long been central to Sipho’s identity as a musician. With roots in Gospel and Afro-Soul and a deep appreciation for traditional African rhythms, he brings live musicianship into contemporary South African dance music in a way that feels organic and personal.

Across his career, Sipho has collaborated with artists including MFR Souls, De Mthuda, Russell Zuma, Kelvin Momo, Murumba Pitch, Sino Msolo, DJ Stokie, Tumza D’Kota, Abidoza, Soa Mattrix, Sam Deep, Bassie and Shakes & Les.
