R. Kelly Asks Court For Bail In The Middle Of The Covid-19 Pandemic. Singer R. Kelly’s had asked for the singer to be taken out of jail in New York due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
Singer R. Kelly’s legal representative had asked for the singer to be taken out of jail in New York due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. However, the judge didn’t give the singer the bail that was asked by his lawyers earlier on in the week. The judge, United States of America District judge Ann Donnelly of the Eastern District of New York, stated the reason why she chose not to give him bail.
“While I am sympathetic to the defendant’s understandable amxiety about Covide-19, he has not established compelling reasons warranting his release,” says the judge. The decision was placed on Tuesday. To alleviate his application, the singer told the court that he had surgery during his jail time. The judge stated that he did not say how his surgery would put him in place of critical illness. The man is waiting for his trial with no bail. He is accused of several cases of sexual offence. The cases were filed at the federal courts in New York and Illionois, United States of America.
The man was apprehended after the documentary series ‘Surviving R. Kelly’. In the documentary series several ladies went on to say in detail how they were allegedly assaulted by R. Kelly. The singer declined the allegations that were said against him.
