Tweeps react to DJ Lamiez Holworthy taking her newborn son to a restuarant. Tweeps put in their two cents on a picture of Music DJ Lamiez Holworthy with her one month old son at a restaurant.
Lamiez Holworthy and her husband, hip hop rapper Khuli Chana have finally welcomed their newborn baby. Taking to his social media pages, Lamiez’s husband posted a picture of Lamiez and her baby at a restaurant with a caption saying, “What a time. #1monthOld #PapaPumpkin”. The post received mixed reactions from the public. The pair were celebrating their baby turning one month old.
Sharing their concerns for the baby, tweeps expressed how they felt with Lamiez taking a one month old baby into a public space. They critiqued the DJ saying a newborn baby is not supposed to go out in places such as restaurants when it is only one month old. They also justified their opinions by sharing that if a new born goes into a public space, it will pick up different energies that will negatively affect the baby. “I really wish ya’ll could respect some of the things our elders taught us. A baby’s immune system is weak and very much threatened by weird energies and spirits. That babies back is even strengthened yet and ya’ll already exposing it to strangers? No man”, said one the followers.
Some tweeps took the DJ’s side by not allowing critiques to impose their beliefs on the them. They shared that people must not be touched by what the couple chooses to do as their opinion does not matter. “The people that are touched that this baby is at a restaurant should remember that this is not their child so their opinion don’t matter”, said one of the followers.
Despite being criticized, Lamiez took to her Instagram page to express how she felt a few hours before she was about to give birth sharing a photo they took before the baby was born of herself and her husband. She reminisced on the time she was preparing to meet her baby. “Do you remember what it was like the day you gave birth? Took this just after 6:35 am, a few hours before we met our little guy and I’m sure you can tell just how sacred Khulani was. Whom I kidding? We both hadn’t slept in anticipation. This would be the last time we sat in his nursery without him. Asked @flourescent_imagery to capture every moment and it’s crazy. I really gave birth to the most perfect guy”, Lamiez Holworthy shared.
She went on to say that it still feels surreal that she gave birth to her son and still cannot believe that he belongs to her. “All still so surreal. Legit feels like a dream. This perfect little boy is mine”, Lamiez Holworthy shared.
