Azana On How She Caught Sun EL Musician’s Attention

Azana on how she caught Sun EL Musician’s attention. South African songstress Makhosazana Masango famously known as Azana speaks out about how she started to work with one of the best producers in the county.

Azana has become a major star since she stepped onto the music scene. Speaking on her interview on The Episode podcast, Azana opened up about how she got noticed by music producer Sun EL Musician in the beginning of her music career.

Azana shared that it all started when she decided to put more effort into her music career by putting herself out there. She detailed how she used to do performances for free during her university days. In one of the events she performed at, she met one of the performers who gave her an advice to share videos of her performances and tag outstanding producers on social media to get recognition.

She added that after sharing a video of herself performing one of Msaki’s songs on Instagram, she caught Sun EL Musician’s attention. The music producer liked the video and sent her a DM with the possibility of working with her in mind.

“… Sino Msolo started telling me to tag big producers which is something that I did not do before I met him on social media, because I was posting videos of me performing and singing all the time and I said no. I waited for a couple of weeks until I got the video that I thought was gonna be good enough to tag someone on. I tagged Sun EL and a few more people and Sun EL loved the video. I was singing Msaki’s song and then he DMed me and I was like this is the beginning of something beautiful”, said Azana.

Azana further added that following being recognized by Sun EL, they got in contact and started working on new music. She also said that through Sun EL, she got a chance to work with other big artists working hand in hand with Sun EL. Since she started working with him, more doors opened for her, and the rest is history.

“… I started recording, we recorded a lot of beautiful songs and I got to meet other people. I got to meet Taffi who was there in studio with Sun EL and I’ve been working a lot with Taffi now. It just has been a very nice journey for me”, said Azana.
