Msaki Confirms Return to Music with New Projects and Performances

Singer-songwriter Msaki, born Asanda Lusaseni Mvana, has confirmed her return to music after stepping away from the industry for a break. The award-winning artist shared her plans in a video posted on Instagram, hinting at new projects and performances in the near future.
Msaki revealed that her schedule for 2026 is now open for bookings. “I’m very excited to announce that my bookings for 2026 are open. So, 2025 will be pretty quiet, just trying to get back to my flow and working on my way to performance mode. We are doing a few meaningful gigs this year with some friends, family and close brands,” she said.
The artist added that her team has reached out to industry players in preparation for her full return. “My team has sent out an email to producers, curators, promoters and festival organisers who have been reaching out over the last two years. I look forward to sharing a lot of the self-produced shows that my team and I are planning.”
Msaki, who has built a reputation for blending soul, folk and electronic influences, assured her fans that both familiar favorites and fresh music will be part of her comeback. “Soon, you will be able to hear the old projects you love and new ones as well,” she confirmed.
Her return is expected to be one of the most notable comebacks in South Africa’s music scene, with fans eager to experience her storytelling and distinctive voice live once again.
