Arthur Mafokate Reminisces Wearing Camouflage When it Was Banned

Arthur Mafokate reminisces on wearing camouflage back when it was banned. Arthur Mafokate created the first biggest kwaito hit with his 1995 song “Kaffir” which to date has sold over 500 000 copies. The legend is now playing more of an executive role with ‘999’ which is his record label.

The star pushed so many boundaries in his time as a musician and he was also once the biggest musician in the country. The label boss was looking back at how he was never scared to push boundaries even when it might have been illegal like wearing camouflage!

“I remember introducing the Camouflage on stage when it was still banned in this country, I was such an activist and stubborn, maybe I was angry” explained the legend.
