Ntsiki Mazwai On Reasons Why Madiba Doesn’t Deserve To Be Celebrated. The controversial poet, singer and activist Ntsiki Mazwai jas expressed her views on S.A celebrating Mandela who she feels was a sell-out throughout Apartheid.
Mazwai said the way South Africa is honouring Madiba it’s like he was the only one fighting for freedom. She also pointed out how the celebration is nothing but a money making scheme.
“This money making scheme called the Mandela legacy…bunch of elitist bullsh*t qha,” she wrote.
She also said that “you cannot celebrate Nelson Mandela without acknowledging Winnie Mandela.”
“Nelson Mandela’s contribution to the struggle is over inflated…there were many trees in the forest,” she wrote.
In fact, Ntsiki told fans that she would spend her 67 minutes to remember Mandela by celebrating his ex-wife.
Many have labelled him a “sell out” in the struggle against apartheid and making concessions during post-apartheid negotiations.
Ntsiki has previously told fans that she believed Winnie was stronger than Madiba and that “we chose the wrong Mandela as president.”
