Sipho “Big Fish” Makhabane Sets The Record Straight On Men Responsible For GBV – Makhabane retired officially in 2010 in a much-publicized event at the Pretoria State Theatre, released as a live DVD and CD.
He retired to focus his energies on developing the young talent. He established his own label, Big Fish Music, and has groomed or produced a host of young gospel stars, including Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Pastor Ncanda, Israel Mosehla, Mzwakhe Myeni, Tshepiso Motaung, Sechaba, Frans Dlamini, Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors, Lundi and many others.

“We’re not just saying men should stop abusing women and children during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence, but forever,” said Big Fish.
“When you wake up, look in the mirror and say, ‘Today I’ll protect my woman’,” he said.

“If you beat a woman, what are you teaching a young boy?
