Congrats! Shimza Scores A Major Opportunity @ChannelO Tv – Local DJ and producer DJ Shimza is persistent and keeps on shining light of his township Tembisa, Ekurhuleni.
The star who has been in the entertainment industry for more than a decade is known and admired for his deejaying skills as well as his charitable side.
CLUBS and taverns have been hit hard by the government’s ban on selling booze after 6 pm to combat the coronavirus.
But it seems the virus is not stopping people from jolling in the comfort of their own homes. Shimza proved it with other local celebrities hosting the Quarantine Online Party, streaming performances. The line-up included Shimza, Black Motion, DJ Zinhle, Kabza De Small, Maphorisa, Darque and PH.
So, the initial event was organised by Shimza, whose real name is Ashley Raphala. He realised people didn’t mind staying at home if they had entertainment. He said he spent money from his own pocket to ensure the streams were of high quality. He said the online party had over 900 000 combined views on Facebook and Twitter
Now, Shimza took to social media on the 26th March 2020 to share spectacular news after his gig, he got sponsors for gis show and will be broadcasting on DSTV, channel O. he previously mentioned he was looking for sponsors to take the party to the people through live streaming.
