Moonchild Sanelly Has A Message For SA Radio Stations That Allegedly Have Double Standards

Moonchild Sanelly Has A Message For SA Radio Stations That Allegedly Have Double Standards. It was apparently stated that the track was very explicit for radio playing.

Moonchild Sanelly went on to social media to lay out her frustrations regarding South African radio stations that allegedly don’t want to play her music, specifically her ‘Askies’ track. It was apparently stated that the track was very explicit for radio playing. The woman was questioning the reason that she was given the stations.

She asked as to how many women are objectified by the songs that the radio stations play. She also spoke about international rappers objectifying women on their tracks. The caption read: “The way you choose to shut a woman down for celebrating our bodies and play men that talk about a** as objects. I have something to tell [you]!” The musician went on in detail to explain her statement. “How many women are objectified by men and you play them on radio? How many international songs that you play that don’t celebrate women but talk about women being objectified by rappers? And you now you gonna take down a song that makes every single woman whatever the size feel confident,” says Moonchild Sanelly.

Celebs reacted to the statement that was publicised by Moonchild Sanelly. Shekhinah says, “This just highlights how big the SA Boys club really is.” Msaki says, “This has me so mad I might even dance. Game On!!” Actor Thabo Rametsi says, “These are the same stations that will play “I’m in love with the Coco” and “I can’t feel my face” which are both about cocaine use. But its Men (international) so they get a pass. These are the same stations who will play Cardi B, Megan [Thee] Stallion and Nicki Minaj when they celebrate the female form but our own [Moonchild Sanelly] can’t!”
