The Ndlovu Youth Choir is amongst the top names in South Africa that are taking the country’s name all over the world. The choir touched the hearts of many people around the world with their South African style performance of the biggest songs from around the world on ‘America’s Got Talent’. The group has now released an album.

The album has beautiful renditions. The Ndlovu Youth Choir has become a sign of hope for South Africans, it also makes the people in the country proud. The artistic director of the group, Ralf Schmitt, spoke to ‘People’ magazine about their music. The director states that many American people liked their music because of the South African interpretations of some of the world’s top songs, it was something that people hadn’t seen before. The artistic director also spoke about how he hopes that the choir’s music impacts the people in South Africa.

“Music is the most wonderful medium for us to express ourselves as South Africans and to see young people travelling across the world and performing at such a high standard on America’s Got Talent is inspiring in itself and reminds us as a nation how much we have going for us,” says Ralf Schmitt, the Ndlovu Youth Choir artistic director. He also spoke about the choir members going on to be great, even though they came from the rural areas in Limpopo. The choir recently released an album titled ‘Africa’ soon after they signed a deal with Sony Music.
