Tellaman Earns Three SAMA Nominations At SAMA26

Tellaman’s debut album ‘God Decides’, receives the first nomination for Best RnB\Soul at SAMA26.

Released in February 2019, ‘God Decides’ features Tellaman’s signature melodies, smooth vocals with instrumental highlights, the story of the album is the bigger picture, with each song being a compiled episode that forms the bigger picture.

But most importantly TELLAMAN brings a simplicity in his music, and fans can look forward to a new insight into TELLAMAN’s life; a lot of flaws, love and hope in the form of the music from his debut offering. More than a year later, the album has amassed over 16.7 million streams and reached GOLD status.

‘Whipped’ (Voting Code M5) landed the second nomination for Music Video Of The Year. Directed, filmed and edited by Kyle White, the music video plays off at a 1950s themed diner with Tellaman sharing the day with his love interest. The video has over 3.7 million views on YouTube and the single reached over 7.6 million streams.

‘Whipped’ (Voting Code R2) is also selected as one of the Record Of The Year nominees.  The single was Top 5 on the RadioMonitor Spins Chart for 2019 with over nine thousand spins for the year and second to Prince Kaybee on RadioMonitors RAMS Chart for 2019.  Music fans can vote for their favourite song or video of the year through Vodacom’s MyMuze.com platform.
