Dr Tumi Sets The Record Straight On Lockdown Worship Live Event Being Sponsored By The Department Of Arts

Dr Tumi Sets The Record Straight On Lockdown Worship Live Event Being Sponsored By The Department Of Arts. Just after the president announced the lockdown and prohibited large gatherings, musicians had to find other ways to not only make ends meet but to also perform while adhering to the lockdown rules. Dr Tumi started a live event called lockdown worship where he and other gospel artists performed on live TV. The event was sponsored by the Department of Spots, Ars and Culture.

However, there were issues that were raised during an interview with one of the weekend publications where Dr Tumi’s name was mentioned. “I want to take you back to the live production TV for lockdown worship event that was in partnership with the department of arts. There was an interview that was held with some weekend publication and my name was the mentioned, that they were shocked to see that the department of arts was in partnership with a gospel artist,” Dr Tumi said.

“So that shock raised an issue that I want to talk about, about how there should not be a shock when a gospel artist is supported, there is a struggle to get support from the corporate as well. It’s a big issue that we have to deal with, and we want to do these program, we want to do weekly lockdown worship but we can’t because those things are costly and there seems to not be an appetite to get them funded. The department of sports, arts and culture came through for us and made this possible for us,” Dr Tumi said.

The singing doctor recorded a live event addressing these issues. He captioned the video: “The truth counts and we must stand for it. And gospel music needs to be supported…”
