Tweeps criticize Zola 7’s new single. Tweeps are not happy about Zola 7’s new song following a snippet video of the track making rounds on Twitter.

Zola 7 made a come back with a new single after a long time of not releasing music. After a tweep shared a video of his new song on Twitter with a caption saying, “Zola 8 is back with a smash hit single” Skinny Jean”, tweeps expressed their views on the song and were not pleased by it. Zola 7 made a come back with a song titled Skinny Jean released on the 7th of April 2023. On the song, the musician featured upcoming artists, Vukani and Xosti.

After carefully listening to the song, critics shared their thoughts and said the song is not the best song Zola 7 has released in his lifetime. They stated that the song is not a smash hit as the tweep who shared the video claimed. They also shared that the title of the song and the song itself are substandard and they do not approve the new single. They further added that the musician must do better. “Zola must go back to the drawing board, I’m not accepting mediocre. He knows and we all know that he can do better”, a tweep said.

Zola 7 took a break from the music scene after it was reported that he was suffering from a chronic illness. The musician got better and came back into the spotlight and worked on new music with Casper Nyovest. He was featured on the songs titled Bonginkosi and Hlengiwe on Casper Nyovest’s album released in 2020 titled Any Minute Now. The songs made waves and the musician was then able to get gigs after struggling to secure gigs for some time.
