Texx Talks Catches Up With Shekhinah Ahead Of Her Highly Anticipated Album Release! “I’m a sucker for pain, I’m a sucker for getting things right,” says Shekhinah as she chops it up with Texx Talks host, Tecla Ciolfi on the opening episode of season 5.
Texx Talks is back with a new season, this time with the support of leading sportwear brand, PUMA. With a focus on Africa Month, this season’s line-up of guests is an ode to the legendary and exciting new artists that have and are coming out of the African continent.
Opening the season, award-winning South African singer & festival founder, Shekhinah, gives listener’s an in-depth look into her journey from growing up in the Donnell household in KZN, creating a myriad of hits very early in her career and building an all-women run and performed festival.
Donnell drops her second highly anticipated album, Trouble In Paradise, tomorrow (Friday, May 7th). Talking to Texx, the Fixate-singer reveals that the album is an “on-going story and the idea of things not being so rosy anymore – the removal of the rose-tinted shades” referencing her debut album, Rosegold.
A powerful start to season 5, Texx Talks continues with guests Judith Sephuma, MUZI, Morcheeba with many more to be announced. Listeners can look forward to Texx continuing to get down to the inner-most workings of their favourite African acts.
